The Peacemaker: growing as an Enneagram 9

I really enjoyed this 60 day journey to explore more about my Enneagram number! it’s an ongoing process, much like life itself
Enneagram is not the be all, end all, bit it has been very helpful for me. this book explores a great deal about being a 9, including gut feelings, merging, moving towards anxiety in times of stress, moving towards claiming my space in times of growth.

The Peacemaker, by Elisabeth Bennett

“The real goodness of the Enneagram is in the work we do with it. And work, for a Nine, is anathema.”

“Only by God’s grace and power within us can we rest in His sanctifying work and trust Him for the growth and potential of bringing glory to Him day by day.”

“Making other people happy isn’t a good gauge for whether I’m acting as a Peacemaker. Inviting others into real peace and wholeness doesn’t always feel good and doesn’t necessarily please others.”

“[Action] is the virtue of the Nine, and that holds true even when you are tempted by anxiety. You may not think of prayer as an action, but it is one of our very best actions in countering the temptation of anxiety.”
