about heather

Heather Kuhl is a writer and therapist living with her husband Jon in southwestern Washington.

she has been scribbling and creating since the age of four. this site brings together her loves of theology, soul searching, spiritual direction, coffee, graphic novels, toy hedgehogs, cozy murder mysteries, warm socks, long romantic walks from the reading nook to the snack drawer, and the occasional bout with celiac’s disease symptoms. Heather has degrees from Multnomah University in Portland, OR, and Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, TX. she is currently pursuing training in spiritual direction at the Franciscan Spiritual Center in Milwaukie, OR, as well as any number of ongoing trainings for counseling specialties.

when not working as a full time therapist, Heather can be found eating too many chocolate covered espresso beans, reading, baking almond flour brownies, spending time with her nieces and nephews, or hatching plans to run away to the beach forever and ever, amen.

may we ever seek love, perhaps the greater, even mingled with grief and peril.

“The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien
